It does help though that the cake itself is like sinking into a dream. We tried The Cookies & Cream combo with soft layers of toffee laid over cookie crumbles and impossibly fresh cream which was in equal parts a guilty pleasure and an elegant dessert. It refrains from getting too creamy which is a usual problem with this dessert and retains the crunch of the cookies as well as the fragrant aftertaste of the gloopy toffee. Whether you’re serving it at home for a dinner party, or just want a midweek treat we can’t think of a better or more original indulgence.
